Taormina Shade produceres i Italien på et anerkendt spinderi, som har stor fokus på kvalitet. Garnet er sammensat med bl.a. de blødeste alpakafibre fra Peru. Alpaka er en slidstærk og åndbar fiber, som er både varmere og blødere end fåreuld. Alpakaulden er med andre ord med til at give Taormina Shade en helt fantastisk ulden blødhed, som føles vidunderligt mod din hud. Garnet er også virkelig dejligt at arbejde med og kan bruges til både strikkede og hæklede projekter.

Den lækre og vamsede fibersammensætning med bl.a. blød alpaka og slidstærk polyamid gør Taormina Shade til det oplagte valg til blød, varm beklædning, som fx en trøje eller cardigan samt accessories som huer, halsedisser og superbløde tørklæder. Garnet er 1-trådet og har derfor en naturlig varierende tykkelse.

Taormina Shade fås i 26 enestående farver, som alle har et smukt, meleret farvespil. Jo mørkere farve, jo tydeligere er farvespillet og dybden i garnets nuancer. Enkel glatstrik eller retstrik i Taormina Shade vil derfor automatisk få mere liv pga. farvespillet og garnets melerede udtryk, ligesom det også er smukt i mønsterstrik.

Taormina Shade is produced in Italy at a renowned spinning mill that places great emphasis on quality. The yarn is composed of, among other things, the softest alpaca fibers from Peru. Alpaca is a durable and breathable fiber, which is both warmer and softer than sheep’s wool. In other words, alpaca wool contributes to giving Taormina Shade a truly fantastic woolly softness that feels wonderful against your skin. The yarn is also really lovely to work with and can be used for both knitted and crocheted projects.

The delicious and fluffy fiber composition with, among other things, soft alpaca and durable polyamide makes Taormina Shade the obvious choice for soft, warm clothing, such as a sweater or cardigan, as well as accessories like hats, neck warmers, and super soft scarves. The yarn is single-ply and therefore has a naturally varying thickness.

Taormina Shade is available in 26 unique colors, all of which have a beautiful, variegated color play. The darker the color, the more pronounced the color play and the depth in the yarn’s shades. Simple stockinette or garter stitch in Taormina Shade will therefore automatically gain more life due to the color play and the yarn’s variegated expression, just as it is also beautiful in pattern knitting.

Perhaps a solid-colored version of your favorite design in Taormina – or just a version with solid-colored sleeves or edges? Play with the two variants and break Taormina’s fine pattern repeat with a contrasting color. The result will in any case have a fantastic softness and the finest color expression.
